Getting on the Dance Floor: Launching a Mobile Dance Studio
Leah grew up dancing, danced in college, and even professionally. She spent time working in the corporate world, but always knew she wanted to get back into dancing. She started teaching on the weekends and gradually made her way back into ballet and dance, working with dance studios around Atlanta. Then, in 2015, she opened Studio Go Dance. The business continued to grow and expand. Now, Studio Go Dance offers classes and birthday parties for children all around metro Atlanta, Charleston, and Chattanooga. Studio Go Dance even writes their own curriculum in-house that is used in dance studios around the world. As a business owner and mom of three young kids, Leah is always on her toes!
Ballet and Dance Parties: All the Details
Studio Go Dance offers ballet and dance parties that come to you, creating a truly special party for your tiny dancer. The birthday girl or boy chooses from hip hop, tap or ballet classes - with the most popular being ballet. During the event, kids participate in a 45-minute general class and then a mini performance at the end. Dance instructors bring props, scarves, wands, and more, creating a fun and entertaining experience for the special birthday girl or boy and their friends!
This team offers so much flexibility with location! Instructors come to you and can use your space of choice - dining room, basement, living room, deck - you choose what works best. Or, they can secure a venue for you, working with their network of studios and locations.
Additional options include crafts, invitations, crowns, and more. Leah and her team can help coordinate and plan as much of the party as needed, making it easier for parents.
We asked Leah what children love most about ballet birthday parties with Studio Go Dance; she shared, “Their favorite part is getting to dance with their friends,” shared Leah Matthews, Owner at Studio Go Dance. “Often, the birthday boy or birthday girl has friends come that they don’t usually get to dance with. They have so much fun getting to do their favorite activity and have a real-life ballerina come to their party.”
